Samantha Mohr

Mohr was a UGA student and entered her first pageant when she was advised by a fellow student. The contest was named Miss Columbus 1985. In the wake of this victory, she qualified for her place in the Miss Georgia pageant which was staged in June 1985. Mohr took home the title on the 22nd of June on the 22nd of June in 1985. Mohr won more than $3500 in scholarships and other prizes in the pageant for the state. Her activities as Miss Georgia included public appearances at locations throughout Georgia. Mohr, Georgia's representative, was also at Miss America 1986, Atlantic City, New Jersey in September 1985. Mohr predicted that Susan Akin would win Miss America by computer modeling. The odds for his success were 22:1. Mohr did not appear on the Top-10 list for the national crown. Mohr's stint as Miss Georgia continued until Marlesa Ball was elected Miss Georgia 1986.
